Getting To Serengeti
Serengeti National park is located in Tanzania stretching 14,763 (5,700 sq. miles) covering 335 km (208 miles) from Arusha, stretching north to Kenya and bordering lake Victoria to the west.
The main access road into the Serengeti is 325 km from Arusha is through Lake Manyara National Park gate, mounts the Rift Valley Escarpment, goes on through communal farming lands to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, drops down onto the plains past Olduvai Gorge to the east, and enters the Serengeti through Naabi Hill Gate taking around eight hours.
