Gibb’s Farm is one or the first and oldest guest house located in the North of Tanzania in Ngorongoro conservancy over looking the great rift valley and Ngorongoro Forest.
Established as a coffee farm in the late 1920s and refurbished as a warm, rustic luxury inn, Gibb’s Farm is a welcome retreat for a few days’ respite while on safari or for an extended vacation or honeymoon getaway.
Gibb’s Farm has 17 guest cottages each with unique theme and richly appointed with eucalyptus floors, handcraft furniture, 2 queen-size beds, indoor and outdoor shower, and a private veranda.
An old farm house built in 1929 which has been lovingly refurbished and offers a welcome refuge after a long day’s adventures on safari. The house has a living room, two dining rooms, outside verandas, and a gift boutique.
The bright, airy dining rooms are a delightful way to begin and end each day. The rustic style of the farmhouse has been replicated throughout the dining rooms, which feature exposed trusses, adzed beams, wooden ceilings, iron work and old stone fireplaces.
Throughout the day, our culinary team dishes up delectable cuisine. In the morning, fresh-roasted organic Arabica coffee and a bountiful breakfast offers a wonderful assortment of dishes to sustain you. Mid-day, a farmhouse buffet offers a delectable array of hearty soups, breads, quiches and desserts to re-energize you. After the sun sets, replenish with expertly prepared, farm-to-table organic cuisine as you dine by candlelight and share the day’s adventures. Guests may also enjoy a full bar featuring specialty cocktails and an extensive wine list.
